On August 24, 2024, the Suwanee community will come together to participate in the 11th Annual Extra Mile 5K Run/Walk, an exciting event for runners and spectators alike. The race supports Annandale Village, a local residential center for adults with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries.
The event features a 5K run and a 1K run/walk on site, with a virtual option for racers outside the Suwanee area. In-person participants who register by August 8, 2024, are guaranteed to receive a T-shirt and medal. Those who register after August 8 and virtual racers will receive medals while supplies last.
Race Details
The race will take place in Suwanee Town Center, kicking off at Town Center Park at the intersection of Buford Highway and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. The fun starts at 8 AM and continues until 10 AM.
If they register on time, on-site participants will receive a T-shirt and medal, a treat after the race, and a limited-edition Annandale swag item. They will also be entered to win a pair of On Cloud running shoes.

Annandale Village is the Southeast United States' only non-profit residential center for adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. The community provides residential services, day services, and respite care for families. Residents and day participants enjoy socialization, life skills education, job training, and creative activities, along with many others.
