Our entire team is excited to welcome the third annual Tacos and Tequila 5K to Suwanee on May 4, 2024. We will sponsor a table at the event, and several team members will run the race.
The race kicks off at 11:00 AM on May 4. The starting line is located at 330 Town Center Avenue in Suwanee, GA. If you're not in the local area, you can sign up for a virtual 5K through the website and receive a shirt and medal.
The Tacos and Tequila 5K Run
A 5K is an excellent opportunity for seasoned runners and beginners to share the road. Whether you are a competitive runner searching for a medal or a casual jogger who wants to enjoy the community spirit, you will have a great time at the Tacos and Tequila 5K.
In the spirit of a fun community race, the organizers will award prizes for the best costume, dog costume, and Mexican Grito scream. Come to the race and enjoy the creativity that will be on display.
Participants will receive a T-shirt and race medal. T-shirts may be limited after the cut-off date. This year, participation is limited to 750 runners.
Post-Race Fiesta
Every race bib includes tickets for drinks and tacos. Participants over 21 will receive a free margarita, while those under 21 will receive lemonade.
As part of the post-race fiesta, all ages will enjoy two tacos, chips, and salsa. More food and drinks will be available for purchase. Beto's Tacos will supply the delicious meal again this year.
About the Lawrenceville Co-Op
While the Tacos and Tequila 5K is all in good fun, it provides vital support to a deserving community organization. The Lawrenceville Co-Op is a Christian ministry and food bank supporting residents of Lawrenceville and Dacula.
The Co-Op is thankful to have received over $10,000 in donations during the first two years of the Tacos and Tequila 5K. Please consider donating today and helping to support your neighbors.
